lefse making with cousin Judy last Saturday 11/17/2007

The two ladies on either side of the top photo were grandmothers to the bottom photo ladies (Ginny, Barb, & Penny). I wonder what they would think of the legacy they initiated to their future granddaughters and great granddaughters!! Those grandmothers prayed often for their future generations knowing their heavenly Father would always see them through happy and tough times. We have a very blessed heritage! I'm sure they also helped each other sharing their best receipes!

Making sure the lefse dough "feels' right!

The never-ending rolling...

I got the photos to post finally!! 11/24/2007

I'm having trouble when posting photos on this blog site so here are some photos of our lefse making fun last Saturday afternoon. She had done the same thing with her niece, Andrea Burt, Saturday am so Judy had a long day of making lefse. We had a fun visit besides. Maybe sometime some additional photos will be posted.

Judy had been "rolling" for awhile!!
Our pile of cooled lefse ready for packaging.
We ate 2 but had 59 pieces left! Delicious and moist!

One of Judy's friends made this so she could transport her lefse making supplies to church or wherever she was making lefse. It holds the rolling surface, grill, sticks, rolling pin with their stockinette, etc. Really handy for storage too.

Good work Margarethe. Wonderful teacher. She's cute too!! What fun. We made some lefse Wed. before TD. We = Jen S for her very first try at making and rolling out lefse (she did so well didn't even make the rolling pin a mess) and Sara's third time this month!! We had fun and of course the girls acted up with the pins and sticks. Great photos of TD. Love, Penny
